About the Journal
The Journal of Phase Change Materials (J-PCM) is an interdisciplinary open-access journal devoted to rapid communications on the science, applications, and processing of materials exhibiting phase change properties.
J-PCM publishes papers reporting significant original research on the relationships between structure, processing, properties, and performance of phase change materials — from metals, ceramics, and polymers to nanostructured and composite systems.
Scope
Topics include latent heat storage, nano-enhanced PCMs, encapsulation techniques, thermal regulation in buildings and HVAC, solar energy applications, waste heat recovery, and numerical modelling of phase change phenomena.
Peer Review & Open Access
All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Published articles are freely accessible worldwide under an open-access model — no subscription required — maximising the reach and citation impact of every contribution.
Submissions
J-PCM welcomes original research articles, major reviews, short communications, and selected conference papers. Authors of review papers are encouraged to contact the Editor-in-Chief with an outline prior to full submission.
